Quarterly risk assessment

The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issue every quarter an assessment of the risks of failing to detect and interrupt wild poliovirus transmission, as well as a supplement which provides detailed country information. The report focuses on the status of polio eradication and activities the previous quarter, based on supplementary immunization activity monitoring and surveillance and laboratory data.
